In 1922 Frank Randle made his first, paid public appearance as one of “The Three Ernestos” acrobatic troupe at the Tower. He had previously made money performing Charlie Chaplin impressions on the beach

In 1958 he collapsed at the Queen’s Theatre and died on the 7th of July

Sir Lindsay Parkinson always claimed to be the first man in Blackpool to own a private car, but there was a counter-claim by Mr A. Pollard of South Shore who insisted that he was the first and his registration was ‘FR 1’.
